2007 Major League

The club did extremely well in all 3 galas this year and overall won Division 3 of the Major League.

Well done to everyone in the squad.

2007 Peanuts League

The peanuts squad did very well this year including the newcomers in the youngest age group.
In the first gala the team came a close
In the second gala the team secured
In the third and final gala the team finished second, only one point behind the winners.

Overall the club came 3rd, well done to everyone in the squad.

Parents are reminded that their help on pool side is encouraged;
With extra helpers those teachers, that are on poolside week in and week out, will be able to have a break from time to time. It will be fantastic if we can have a rota where a teacher knows they have every first Sunday of the month off. With a surfeit of helpers, teachers can look at other lanes and see how swimmers are progressing in relation to the lane they are teaching. We acknowledge swimmers progress is not constant but has peaks and troughs, with the current manning this is not always picked up to the swimmers benefit.
We need officials to make the events like home Galas, time trials and Club Championships happen. We are short of judges, timekeepers, starters, announcers, pool-side assistance and rely on the same faces time and again to ensure these events can take place. Without officials galas will not happen. So if you are interested make yourself known to Stuart or a member of the committee.
